a day in the life of a preschooler...
Picture
valet drop-off/pick- up  Our valet drop off and pick up makes it easy for you and your preschooler to transition from home to school. Each morning and afternoon your child will be gently greeted at our entrance and escorted from your car by our assistant teaching staff to their class, where they will be warmly welcomed by their teacher.

free play  During the drop off period, children are encouraged to make independent choices in a time of purposeful play at one of our learning centers or fun stations. This time also includes opportunity for children to engage with their peers and teacher, where a spirit of kindness, cooperation and helpfulness is promoted.

circle time  Circle time sets the tone for the day’s schedule. It includes calendar, weather, letter and number of the week activities. To encourage a sense of responsibility, each child is assigned a classroom job for the week. This is also when a large portion of teaching time occurs through teacher-directed academics.

table time  New concepts are immediately reinforced as children practice what they’ve just discovered to ensure learning success. Whether it’s with crafts, manipulatives or written worksheets, knowledge is absorbed and solidified through  appropriate activities

"And you shall love the Lord

your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
This is the first commandment.
And the second, like it, is this:
‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31

gym time  Fitness is included every day on our sizable playground or in our large, indoor gym where motor skills development, coordination and balance are all emphasized. The classroom extends into gym time through organized games or just plain old cooperative playtime fun for a cohesive learning experience.

snack time Developing good manners and healthy eating habits are not the only aspects of this essential part of our curriculum. Snack time offers
a great opportunity for social interaction while learning self-sufficiency. The children are encouraged to make choices by trying new foods and also to be a good neighbor by cleaning up after themselves.

bible story  Daily bible stories foster
a love of God and encourage a
life-long love for God's word. Our desire is to sow seeds of faith into the hearts of our preschoolers, so we read from The Beginner’s Bible every day. In addition, each child receives their very own copy so parents can re-read these rich stories at home.

enhancements to our day  We give each child opportunities to flourish through our enhancements. These include music, chapel, Spanish, sign language and computer instruction for our 3, 4 and 5 year olds, as well as Morris Museum for our 4's and 5's, These enrichment experiences serve to spark an interest in the world at large, foster creativity and nourish each child’s soul.

going home  With their buckets full from wonderful experiences of the day and their souls nourished from rich interaction with their friends and teachers, it's time to go home!
